One thing about being ready for me is, when I am I always feel as if I'm missing something crucial. And that makes me nervous. I'm pretty positive I have everything but it's not as if I won't have the means to grab anything I've missed at a local store, including Walmart.
For those who do not know this yet, I have nowhere to stay for the next 3 weeks, and I have absolutely no plan for when I get to Hawaii tomorrow morning around 6am. I expect a zombie like state of course. Hopefully a beach or some form of resting place will be nearby so I can immediately pass out if need be. Then again the airport lobby might suffice. I will be camping when I can't find a place to stay through couchsurfing.org or through various connections I have. Couch surfing has proven difficult in Hawaii since there were only about 100 hosts in Honolulu. Just to give you an idea there are generally thousands in well populated cities. And for those are clueless about couch surfing, it's a website set up to offer people the chance to crash at random peoples' places around the world while traveling. It's completely free and you can either surf or host. Check it out, it's pretty nifty.
My plane takes off around 7pm to Dallas and then Las Vegas and then finally Hawaii. I'm a little anxious they won't allow my pack on the plane as a carry on but I have a trick or two up my sleeve if they give me flack. Other than that I'm ready to see what this trip brings.
